In Aurora, a project can optionally contain a consumption profile. The consumption profile contains a typical energy usage profile for houses that are located close to the weather station. Given just one monthly bill, Aurora can extrapolate in the consumption profile how much energy(kWh) the homeowner has been using throughout the year (pre-solar). Creating a consumption profile inside the Aurora application for your project allows you to run the Optimizer as well as Performance Simulations with a specific energy offset in mind. As stated, the consumption profile is optional. If it exists, it can be exported from Aurora. If it does not exist, the API will respond with an HTTP status code 404 (not found) and an error message: "Consumption profile is not filled out". Please note that commercial consumption profiles are not supported at this point in time.
